Shannon Martin

Shannon delivered the news to Northern Ontario for two years before coming back home to Winnipeg. She returned to reporting for Global News and quickly became their Prime News and News Final anchor.

“I was bitten by the journalism bug early in life”, says Shannon. She became the youngest and only Canadian contributor for the debut year of the US publication, Teen People. She was also a regular book reviewer for the Winnipeg Free Press, as well as freelance writer for Winnipeg Women & Men magazines.

In her spare time, you can find her striking a pose at hot yoga, taking walks with Gus, her Yorkshire terrier or visiting with family.
