Craig Larkins

Whether it’s a sudden blast of winter or a summer heat wave, Manitobans count on Global Weather Specialist Craig Larkins to tell it like it is.

Growing up in Winnipeg, Craig has seen his share of wacky weather… all firsthand experience he brings to the job day in and day out.

Before he stepped in front of the weather maps, Craig began his broadcast career behind the scenes, first as a production assistant, then as a camera operator. He has experienced most positions in the newsroom, but in front of the camera is where Craig feels most comfortable.

A natural people-person, Craig started on air first as a news reporter, covering everything from flooding to community events before taking on the role as a Weather Specialist.

When he’s not forecasting for the region, you’ll find the outdoor enthusiast exploring nature’s elements, from jogging in Assiniboine Park to camping in Spruce Woods.

Craig knows how weather affects people and how important weather is to Manitobans.
