Lindsay Warner was born the same day Mount St. Helen’s erupted. “This could be why I have always been fascinated by headlines,” Lindsay says tongue-in-cheek. She was born in Edmonton and has worked in radio and television all over Western Canada.

“I started out in the biz working at a rock station in Edmonton,” and since her radio days has covered everything from tigers escaping en-route to the zoo to the wildfires in Kelowna/Kamloops and the beginning of the mad cow crisis in Red Deer, Alberta in 2003.

Prior to her posting with Global Winnipeg, Lindsay was working as a news anchor in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.

“This is the furthest east I’ve ever been, in fact, the only relative of mine who has ever lived in Winnipeg was my great-grandfather from Norway who came here for military training prior to WWI.”

As a citizen of Norway, her Norwegian roots combined with her experience in Northern climates, Lindsay Warner feels prepared to handle the long Winnipeg winters.
